AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd hold main training session ahead of Esteghlal clash
The Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session from 6:15 PM on Saturday at the stadium pitch, ahead of the 2018 AFC Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Esteghlal.
The Wolves go into the game in high spirits, as they look to secure the semifinal spot with another positive result, after a 3-1 win away in Tehran.
The coaching staff used Saturday’s main training session to focus on some attacking strategies, in addition to working on the players’ movement before holding a practice mini game.
Management shows support
The club management ensured their presence at the training session on Saturday to show their support for the team, ahead of the big game.
Hamza looks to make his mark
Al-Sadd forward Hamza Al Sanhaji continued to train with the first team, as he looks to make his mark at the Asian stage. Hamza has been working hard in the past few days to prepare himself for the game against Esteghlal.
Intense practice for the goalkeepers
The three Al-Sadd goalkeepers underwent intense practice under the supervision of goalkeeping coach Eduardo Perez, who focused on their agility, balance and reflexes.
Final session and squad list
Al-Sadd will hold the final training session on Sunday evening at the club’s training facility, after which the head coach will announce the list of probables for the game.

Meanwhile, the club officials put the final touches on the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, as it prepares to host the much awaited quarterfinal second leg.
