A delegation consisting of Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi and first team manager Abdullah Al-Breik has left for the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday to represent the club at the draw for the AFC Champions League quarterfinals.
The draw ceremony is scheduled to take place at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. Al-Sadd and Al-Duhail are the Qatari representatives in the draw, while Iranian teams Persepolis and Esteghlal complete the Western half of the quarterfinal lineup. Over in East Asia, the remaining four quarterfinalists are Tianjin Quanjian (China), Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (South Korea), Suwon Samsung (South Korea) and Kashima Antlers (Japan).
The first leg matches of the quarterfinals will be played over 27-29 August while the second leg will be played over 17-19 September.
