AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd conclude preparations ahead of decisive clash with Esteghlal

The Al-Sadd football first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming AFC Champions League quarterfinal second leg clash with Esteghlal, with a final training session that was held at the club’s training facility on Sunday evening.

The coaching staff used the session to focus on physical training, in addition to some light technical drills with the ball. There was also time to work on movement and reaction exercises in small areas, before moving on to a mini practice game.

Later, the head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man matchday squad for the game against Esteghlal. The squad is as follows: Jehad Mohammed, Meshaal Barsham, Yasir Abubakar, Khoukhi Boualem, Tareq Salman, Baghdad Bounedjah, Pedro Miguel, Xavi, Gabi, Jung Woo-young, Hamid Ismail, Akram Afif, Abdelkarim Hassan, Ali Asad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Salem Al-Hajri, Ahmed Sayyar, Hamza Al-Sanhaji.

After the end of the session, the squad left for a closed camp at the Westin Hotel, where they will stay overnight before leaving for the game on Monday evening.
