Day off on Wednesday for the first team players

The Al-Sadd first team players were given a day off from training on Wednesday after their return ot Doha from Tehran following the defeat to Esteghlal in the playoff round of the 2017 AFC Champions League.

The Wolves exited from the tournament while Esteghlal progressed to the group stage where they will play in Group A alongside Al-Ahli, Al-Taawon and Lokomtiv.

Al-Sadd are now set to begin their preparations for the upcoming game against Al-Wakrah in Round 20 of the Qatar Stars League, which will be played on February 11 at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Al-Sadd are currently in second place in the league standings with 44 points.
