Zahed: Tough match; Lekhwiya’s results don’t show its true picture

Hesham Zahed, assistant coach of the Al-Sadd football team, has branded the upcoming QSL Round 10 clash against Lekhwiya as a tough one, as it is against the defending champions even after some of their contrasting results this season.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Zahed said: “Without a doubt, the match will be a tough one regardless of their recent results. They remain a champion team with its top abilities and potential of their players. They can create lots of problems for their opponents.”
The Al-Sadd assistant coach added: “As far as we are concerned here at Al-Sadd, we are a team that wants to go higher in the table and continue in the fight for the title. We are in third place and as for Lekhwiya, they want to return to the form of a defending champion so therefore I think that this match is going to be really exciting.”
As for the possibility of a managerial change having an effect on the team, Zahed said: “The Al-Sadd players are used to working in a professional environment; if the coach leaves or stays, they will not be affected at all as this is an important period for the team and everyone is aware of the responsibility. The team needs to be focused now and we hope that everyone is as responsible as we expect them to be, whether Amouta stays or not.”
Zahed also pointed out that the Al-Sadd players are ready both physically and mentally. “In addition to that, the good thing is that the team is now full-strength with the recovery of the injured players and lack of suspensions. We hope fortune will be with us and then we will be on target in this much awaited match to get the three points.”
