The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 6:30 PM on Thursday evening at the secondary pitch of the club, after their return from the preseason camp in Austria, which was held between July 25 and August 9. The camp was a demanding and competitive phase which featured three friendly matches – with Al Nassr, Al Ain and Al Wahda. After returning to Doha on Sunday evening, the Wolves got three days of rest.
The Thursday session saw the participation of most of the players, including Xavi Hernandez, who trained with the team for the first team in Qatar. Seven national team players missed the session with their international commitments: Saad al Dosari, Abdulkarim Hassan, Ali Asad, Hassan al Haydos, Musab Khodr, Muhannad Naim, Saleh Bader.
Meanwhile, the coaching staff ensured the players focused on training well on the ball, with excercises for pressurizing the opponent, quick play and changing positions. The team is scheduled to continue training on Friday at the same time and venue.
