Talal Al-Baloushi announces his retirement
Former Al-Sadd star Talal Al-Baloushi announced his retirement from football, expressing his gratitude to all those who supported him throughout his career.
Talal spent most of his illustrious career at Al-Sadd, recording several major achievements, including the 2011 AFC Champions League title and the bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup, held in Japan during the same year. This is an addition to the multiple domestic titles in his tally; he has won all of the Qatari league, Amir Cup, Heir Apparent Cup and the Sheikh Jassim Cup.
Talal’s career at Al-Sadd began in the U-13 category, from where he progressed to the first team by the age of 16. He went on to win 14 domestic titles with the Wolves, while he also won gold with the Qatar national team at the 2006 Asian Games.
