Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session on Tuesday evening as part of preparation for the upcoming QSL Round 4 match against Al-Ahli. The match will kick off at 5:45 PM on Thursday at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium at Al-Ahli.
The Wolves go into the match with 7 points from three matches after two wins against Al-Wakrah and Mesaieer and a draw with Umm Salal. Al-Ahli are in 8th place with 4 points after a draw with El-Jaish, a win against Al-Wakrah and a defeat at the hands of Al-Gharafa.
The session on Tuesday saw the participation of all the players of Al-Sadd, who were in great spirits throughout. Head coach Hussein Amouta and his coaching staff focussed on fitness and tactical exercises.
Management shows its support
A number of top members of Al-Sadd management attended the session, headed by Mohammed Ghanem al-Ali, Head of Football at the club.
Ankle injury keeps Alaadeen Younes away
Al-Sadd youngster Alaadeen Younes will undergo a recuperation period following an injury to his ankle which he sustained during the training session ahead of the Al-Wakrah match.
Light session for the reserves
The members of the reserve team who played and won against El-Jaish in the QatarGas League, had a light training session on Tuesday under the supervision of Hesham Zahed.
Amouta and Belhadj to attend presser
Amouta and Nadir Belhadj will attend the pre-match press conference for the Al-Ahli match at the Bidaa Tower on Wednesday morning at 10 AM.
