Saoud Al-Hajri: Injuries are always troublesome, I hope I can return stronger

Al-Sadd goalkeeper Saoud Al-Hajri has undergone a successful surgery on his left foot at the Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital in Doha on Thursday. The player expressed his gratitude to God and said that injuries are a part of football.

Al-Hajri joined Al-Sadd in the summer transfer window before suffering an ACL injury in his left foot while training with the team at the preseason camp in Austria.

Speaking to the club website, Al-Hajri said: “Thanks to God, everything is fine. I am happy with the success of the surgery. Injuries are always troublesome for any player. I hope that the recuperation and physiotherapy phase will work out well so that I can return stronger.”

He added: “The recuperation phase requires a lot of effort and hard work that is different from playing. Every player must work to make this phase effective. I am going to work hard to achieve this and return better than I was.”

Al-Hajri also expressed his gratitude to the club management and all those who enquired about his condition before and after the surgery. “I thank the Al-Sadd Club management and my teammates. I also thank all those who asked about my well-being. I hope I can return stronger than before, insha Allah.”
