Salem Al-Hajri undergoes cartilage surgery

Al-Sadd midfielder Salem Al-Hajri will be out of action for at least 4 weeks after suffering an ankle cartilage injury that will require surgery.

Salem will undergo the surgery at the Aspetar Hospital on February 21. He had first felt the pain in the ankle during the match against Al-Wakrah in Round 21 of the Qatar Stars League, which ended 3-1.

Wolves are currently in first place in the league standings with 50 points, edging Lekhwiya on goal difference.
