QSL holds technical coordination meeting ahead of new season
As part of the final touches ahead of the new season, the QSL management held the technical coordination meeting for the 2018-19 edition of the QNB Stars League at the Al Bidaa Tower on Monday morning.
With the first round matches of the new season set to be played on the 4th and 5th of August, the QSL management met with team representatives and spoke about the important details that needed to be discussed. QSL’s head of competitions Ahmed Al-Adsani welcomed the gathering before wishing the teams all the best. He also expressed his wish of having full cooperation with everyone so as to achieve all the objectives in the course of the season.
Al-Sadd was represented at the meeting by first team officer Mohammed Saeed. In addition to the representatives of the other teams, the meeting was attended by an official from the referees department.
The attendees discussed the organisational details of the matches, including matchday operations, ticketing and team entrances. As the opening round matches of the season are set to be played at the Khalifa International Stadium and Jassim bin Hamad Stadium due to the venues’ cooling technology, the QSL officials spoke of the specific facilities and team areas at the two stadiums.
QSL officials were also keen to stress on the need to complete at least 60 minutes of play, a campaign which they had started during the Qatar Cup last season.
Finally, the team representatives unveiled their primary and secondary kits for their clubs, which will be used during the upcoming season.
