QFA and QatarGas launch third edition of QatarGas League

​The Qatar Football Association (QFA) and QatarGas launched the third edition of the QatarGas League on Wednesday at a joint press conference at the Sheraton Doha.
The league is set to start on Sunday, the 20th of September with the participation of 18 clubs – 4 second division teams and the reserve teams of the 14 first division clubs. The 4 second division teams are Al-Shamal, Al-Shahaniya, Muaidher and Al-Markhiya.
Al-Rayyan won the title last year following Al-Shamal who won it in the first edition. The opportunity is now once again for the second division teams to battle for promotion to the Qatar Stars League.
Al-Sadd Reserves will face Mesaimeer Reserves in its season opener on Sunday, 20th of September at the Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium in Wakrah.
