The Al-Sadd football first team trained on Monday evening and the session witnessed the first participation of new signing Pedro Miguel. Al-Sadd had announced the arrival of the defender from Umm Salal on a five-year contract.
Pedro will be of great help to Al-Sadd especially with the upcoming challenges in the season, with matches in both the league and also in the 2016 AFC Champions League.
The team is now preparing for the QSL Round 17 match against Al-Ahli which will kick off at 7:15 PM on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. Al-Sadd is currently in fourth place in the league standings with 28 points.
The coaching staff, led by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira, were keen to intensify preparations for the match with a focus on both tactical and technical aspects. Ferreira concentrated on the movement of the players in the attacking third and also in the defence, in addition to moving the ball to the court of the opponent. Al-Sadd will hold its main training session for the match from 5:30 PM on Tuesday.

The coaching staff and the players were keen to welcome Pedro Miguel to his new club before the start of the training session.
Khalfan returns to training
The training session on Monday witnessed the return of Al-Sadd star Khalfan Ibrahim after he recovered from the eye injury he sustained during warmup before the Al-Wakrah match.
