Pedro and Bounedjah return to Al-Sadd squad
Pedro Miguel and Baghdad Bounedjah returned to the Al-Sadd matchday squad for the upcoming game against Al-Arabi in Round 21 of the Qatar Stars League, after missing the last game against Al-Wakrah due to suspension.
Derby against Al-Arabi
The team is set to meet Al-Arabi in the derby clash on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, Al-Sadd Club.
Light technical training
During the last training session on Wednesday, the coaching staff led by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira focused on implementing the physical training routine, followed by light technical training, in addition to reaction exercises with quick changes of direction in small areas.
19-man matchday squad
After the end of the session, Ferreira announced the 19-man matchday squad for the derby. The squad consists of Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Abdelkarim Hassan, Morteza Pouraliganji, Mohammed Waad, Hussam Kamal, Baghdad Bounedjah, Jasir Yahya, Xavi, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Ali Asad, Mohammed Kasola, Salem Al-Hajri, Khalfan Ibrahim, Jugurtha Hamroun, Hassan Al-Haydos, Meshaal Qasim, Pedro and Ahmed Bader Sayar.
Continued absence of Ibrahim and Hamed
The duo of Hamed Ismail and Ibrahim Majid continued to be absent from the squad after being suspended following in the events in the game against Al-Shahaniya. Ibrahim was suspended for one month while Hamed was suspended pending further enquiry by the executive committee of the QFA.
Closed camp at the Westin
The Wolves then left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha Hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.
