OFFICIAL: Xavi to take over as Al-Sadd head coach

Al-Sadd SC is pleased to announce that their former captain Xavi Hernandez will take over as the head coach of the first team, from the beginning of the 2019-20 season.

This will be Xavi’s first coaching job. The World Cup winning legend spent four years playing for Al-Sadd, after joining the club from Barcelona in the summer of 2015.

The first team is now set to hold its preseason training camp in Girona, 100 kms away from the city of Barcelona, from July 14-29. The foreign players and non-internationals will assemble in Barcelona a week before the camp.
