Al-Sadd SC is pleased to announce the signing of a new contract for first team midfielder Ali Asad, keeping him at the club until 2023.
Ali is a skilful and experienced player who has been an important presence in the middle of the pitch for the Wolves, ever since making his first team debut in 2009.
In an exclusive statement to the club website upon signing the new contract, Ali said: “I am very happy and very proud of my new contract. I will continue to work hard to always give my best and win championships in the future.”
He added: “Al-Sadd is a big club and it is wonderful to be among its ranks. I’m happy with my performances with the team, and I hope that I will meet everyone’s expectations during the next stage after my return to training, which will come very soon, God willing.”
The midfielder is currently injured and is working on making a return to action. “I have been intensely working through my treatment program, in order to return to the team and be on the pitch at the earliest opportunity,” he said.
Ali added: “My recovery phase is still ongoing, and I am hoping to return to the team in early October.”
Finally, he concluded by saying: “I’m happy to renew my contract, and I hope to return quickly to the team and to meet everyone’s expectations – including the coaching staff, management and the supporters.”
