Nam Tae-hee: It’s a great feeling to join Al-Sadd, this is a new challenge

Al-Sadd’s new signing Nam Tae-hee expressed his happiness at joining the Wolves, in an interview with the official club website.

The South Korean midfielder said: “Joining Al-Sadd is a new challenge in my career. We have a good group of players who can win the AFC Champions League, along with excellent staff. The season will be long but we have a goal – to win all the titles and we will fight to achieve it.”

Nam also reassured fans that he had recovered completely from the injury he had sustained in December. He said: “I am much better now. I spent seven months out of action after the injury. This is the first time I’m training with the group. I need some more time to reach my previous level of fitness but everything is going well and I will be ready for the start of the new season.”

He added: “I hope I can turn up with my best level, once I am given the opportunity to play, and I hope I can impress everyone at the club.”

As for the training at the pre-season camp under the supervision of Xavi, the new Al-Sadd star said: “As I said before, I am happy to join this group. The players are good to me and welcomed me, helping me to settle in easily. The camp is excellent and it is great to work with Xavi. He teaches us a lot of good things. We are working hard for the new season and everything is going smoothly.”

Nam concluded by saying: “I am happy to join Al-Sadd. I want to thank the fans for their support and for their welcome. We will work together seriously to achieve positive results, and win all titles. You will see me soon on the pitch.”
