Muscle tear rules Xavi out for four weeks
Al-Sadd captain Xavi Hernandez has been ruled out of action for up to four weeks after sustaining a muscle tear in the QSL Cup game against Al-Sailiya.
Xavi underwent a medical examination after the game and the extent of the injury was confirmed, showing the tear in the front muscle of the right foot. The midfielder will need up to four weeks of recovery and recuperation before returning to training with the first team again.
Al-Sadd drew 3-3 with Al-Sailiya in that game, and is now preparing to face Al-Arabi in Round 13 of the QNB Stars League.
