Muscle tear ends Ali Asad’s season

Al-Sadd star Ali Asad has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a muscle tear which will require him to undergo specialized treatment.

After picking up the injury during the first team’s training session on Tuesday, Asad underwent medical tests that confirmed its extent. He will now go through medical treatment and rehabilitation in the upcoming weeks.

Asad had earlier missed Al-Sadd’s games against Persepolis in the AFC Champions League and the Qatar Cup semifinal against Al-Rayyan due to lack of match fitness.
