Muscle injury rules Abdulaziz Al-Ansari out for three weeks

Al-Sadd forward Abdulaziz Al-Ansari has been ruled out of action with a muscle injury, which he sustained during the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019 opening game against Hienghene Sport.

Tests revealed the extent of the injury in Al-Ansari’s left foot, with the team’s medical staff determining a three-week period of rest, treatment and recuperation before he can rejoin the team for routine training.

Al-Ansari requested an early substitution in the first half of the game against Hienghene, after feeling pain in his foot, forcing the coaching staff to take him off for Hassan Al-Haydos.
