Moldovan FA vice-president honours Xavi and Akram Afif

Dragos Hincu, vice-president of the Football Association of Moldova, made a visit to Al-Sadd’s training facility on Wednesday, and honoured head coach Xavi Hernandez and first team star Akram Afif.

Akram was feted for being named as Asia’s Player of the Year in 2019, while Spanish midfield legend Xavi Hernandez was also honoured by the guest from Moldova.

The Moldova national team is currently holding their training camp in Qatar, during which they faced Sweden in a friendly held at Al-Ahli Club today.

Mr. Hincu presented Xavi and Akram with Moldova jerseys. There was also a ceremony to exchange shields between Mr. Hincu and Mr. Abdullah Al-Braik, the Al-Sadd first team manager. Commemmorative photos were also taken, before the start of the main training session for the Wolves, ahead of their upcoming clash against Al-Rayyan in the semi-finals of the 2020 Qatar Cup.
