Mohammed Gholam: Important win before the break

​Mohammed Gholam al-Baloushi, Sporting Director of Al-Sadd spoke of the importance of the 1-0 win over Al-Gharafa in Round 8 of the QSL. He said that its importance stems from the fact that it came just before the league stops for the international break, during which Al-Sadd will look to correct errors before restarting.

Speaking to the club website, Mohammed Gholam said: “It was a difficult match and Al-Sadd succeeded in winning it at the beginning of the second half despite not reaching the required levels of performance. But in these kinds of matches, the three points are enough.”

The Sporting Director added: “Of course, the absence of the five Olympic team players had an affect but the team is always blessed with players and everyone witnessed the three youngsters Gaser Yahya, Omar Yahya and Nasser Ibrahim, who performed well – which augurs well for their future with the Wolves.”
