Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi: This is an important victory for Al-Sadd

Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi was delighted after the Wolves’ 2-0 win over Al-Rayyan and called the result “an important victory” for the team.

Speaking to the media after the match, Al-Baloushi said: “It’s an important victory during an important period for the team, as we compete for the league title. In recent weeks, Al-Sadd have been at their best level. I wish the players remain focused in the upcoming games in the league and in the AFC Champions League.”

He added: “The match was intense and it will only help raise the level of Qatari football, especially with the kind of attendance from the supporters of both teams at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.”

Mohammed Gholam also pointed out that Al-Sadd have “closed this chapter and are looking forward to facing Al-Wasl in the Champions League.”

He concluded by saying: “The Al-Sadd players have proven that they are always responsible in giving excellent performances for the team, particularly in crucial matches which helps the team in the title race.”
