Mohammed Gholam Al Baloushi: A tough challenge awaits us at the Club World Cup

Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al Baloushi has stated that the Wolves are capable of giving a good account of themselves during the Club World Cup, and that the club will represent Qatar well at the global stage.

Al Baloushi said: “Al-Sadd are up against a difficult challenge in the World Cup. The teams are not coming here just for participation or tourism; our players must double their efforts so that we can be at our best.”

He added: “The team will be ready for this major global event, and will be prepared to overcome all challenges in order to make an honourable showing, which reflects the massive development of Qatari football and also makes the fans happy. We know that the task will not be easy.”

The sporting director also expressed his wish that the fans of Al Sadd will continue their great effort in supporting the team and the players, adding: “We hope they will continue to support the team, especially as the tournament will be held at home. We are looking to honor Qatar football through our participation.”

Al Baloushi also remarked: “The Al-Sadd players are fully prepared for the opening match against the Oceania champions Hienghene Sport and we will strive to be at our best in order to win and qualify for the second round.”
