​Al-Sadd Sporting Director Mohammed Gholam al-Baloushi has stressed upon the importance of the 2-1 victory of the team over Al-Rayyan in Round 12 of the Qatar Stars League.

In an exclusive statement to the club website following the match, he said: “We dedicate this win to the fans of the team and the legendary figures of the club for standing with the team in this match. We hope the fan support continues in the coming matches.”

As for the level of the team in the match, the Sporting Director said: “Al-Sadd put up an excellent performance in the two halves of the match and was the best team. The team was able to exploit the opportunities and this led to the win and the three points.”

Mohammed Gholam went on to add: “The Portuguese coach Ferreira is a great coach with good abilities and a vision that he wishes to apply in the team. He was successful in putting up a great match against Al-Rayyan. We hope the team has good fortune in the coming matches.”
