​Al-Sadd first team defender Lee Jung Soo underwent a successful surgery on his left hand at the Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital after breaking the hand last week. His period of absence from playing with the team has not been determined.

The South Korean took part in the last match against Al-Gharafa which ended with a 1-0 win for Al-Sadd. He endured despite the injury and led the defensive line with his teammates.
On a related note, Al-Sadd will return to training tomorrow after a three-day period of rest which followed the win against Al-Gharafa. Al-Sadd are currently in third place in the QSL standings with 18 points from 8 matches.
