18 Nov 2015
Al-Sadd defender Lee Jung Soo has been confirmed to be ruled out of the upcoming QSL Round 9 match against Al-Kharaitiyat. The match is scheduled to kick off on Monday evening at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Lee had undergone a surgery on his left hand at Aspetar Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine after breaking it in a match during the 1-0 win in last match against Al-Gharafa, where he performed admirably.
On a related note, Al-Sadd trained on Wednesday evening with the return of the four players – Saleh Bader, Hamza al-Sanhaji, Musab Khodr, Muhannad Naim – after participating in the Qatar national Olympic team camp. During the camp, the Olympic team played three friendlies against UAE, Australia and Ivory Coast as part of preparation for the upcoming U23 Asian Cup due to take place in Qatar in January.
The Al-Sadd coaching staff ensured that the preparation was intensified as the Kharaitiyat match edges ever closer. The match will be an important test for the team as it looks to continue winning and get near the summit. The coaches made the players undergo tactical training, in addition to offensive and defensive movement exercises.
