​Al-Sadd football first team head coach Jesualdo Ferreira has announced the list of probables for the upcoming match against Al-Ahli in Round 17 of the Qatar Stars League. The match will kick off at 7:15 PM at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Thursday.

The 18-man list of probables is as follows: Saad al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Pedro Miguel, Abdelkarim Hassan, Morteza Pouraliganji, Xavi, Ali Asad, Hassan al-Haydos, Khalfan Ibrahim, Talal al-Baloushi, Gaser Yahya, Nadir Belhadj, Musab Khodr, Nasser Ibrahim, Salem al-Hajri, Hossam Kamal, Ali Faiz, Meshaal al-Shammari)

Defenders Mohammed Kasola and Ibrahim Majid have been ruled out of the match. Kasola is recovering from a muscle injury while Ibrahim is still not fully fit. The squad announcement saw the return of the four Olympic team players (Muhannad Naim, Musab Khodr, Ali Asad, Abdelkarim Hassan) and also the first appearances for new signings Morteza Pouraliganji and Pedro Miguel, in addition to youngsters Hossam Kamal and Salem al-Hajri.

The Al-Sadd team had earlier concluded preparations after their final training session from 5:30 PM on Wednesday evening. During the session, the coaching staff focused on light technical exercises and reaction training. After the session, the team left for a closed camp at the Grand Heritage Hotel which will last until the time of departure for the match.​
