​Al-Sadd star Khalfan Ibrahim invited the fans of the club to come and support the team during its much-awaited Qatar Stars League encounter on Saturday against Al-Arabi at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium. He said: “This is a historical derby of Qatari football, with both teams having players of high caliber and the ability to give performances that live up to the level of football in the country.”
Khalfan stressed that the match against Al-Arabi will be tough and difficult; it will be an exciting derby match and a special challenge for the Wolves to show their worth – more so after the disappointing draw in the last match against Al-Khor. He said that “Al-Sadd have the confidence and the ability to win the match and get the three points.”

The midfielder also added that facing Al-Arabi is special for the team and the fans who especially hope for a win in this match. “The Al-Sadd fans have every right to blame the team and we as players also have the right to ask them for the continued support for us in the upcoming period, starting from the match against Al-Arabi,” he said.
The former Asian Player of the Year said that Al-Sadd are determined to correct the mistakes that occurred in the previous match. He said: “We have a huge desire to give our best in the coming matches, starting with the match against Al-Arabi in order to remedy the situation and stop wasting points.”
At the end of his chat with the club website, Khalfan said: “The attendance of the fans and their support for the team will be the symbol that gives the players the biggest motivation and incentive to give their best in the coming matches.”
