Kasola and Asad return as Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Lekhwiya
Mohammed Kasola and Ali Asad made their return to the Al-Sadd squad that was announced on Thursday evening ahead of Friday’s QSL Round 16 game against Lekhwiya, which will be kick off at 6:30 PM at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
18-man squad
Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the matchday squad at the end of Thursday’s final training session. The squad consists of 18 members and they are:
Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Abdelkarim Hassan, Mohammed Kasola, Ibrahim Majid, Hussam Kamal, Hassan Balank, Gaser Yahya, Xavi, Morteza Pouraliganji, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Ali Asad, Pedro, Salem Al-Hajri, Musab Kheder, Hamed Ismail, Jugurtha Hamroun, Meshaal Qasim.
High spirits
The first team trained on Thursday amidst an atmosphere of high spirits, with all the players focused on the upcoming game against Lekhwiya. The match will be crucial for the Wolves and the players will be going all in to win and reach the top of the table.
Technical training
The coaching staff implemented the physical conditioning routine at the start of the final training session, especially with the players facing a congested schedule of matches after the start of the second phase of the league. There was also a focus on reaction exercises and playing the ball in small areas. The players then moved on to technical training in the middle of the pitch.
Closed camp at Westin hotel
After the session, the team left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha Hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.
