Internationals return to Al-Sadd training, Bounedjah joins group training
The Al-Sadd first team resumed training at 6 PM on Thursday at the club’s training facility after a day of rest on Wednesday.
Preparing to face Qatar SC
The team is now preparing for the QNB Stars League Round 4 match against Qatar SC, which will be played on Sunday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Return of internationals
Thursday’s training session saw the return of Al-Sadd’s international players who had been away with their national teams during the recent international break. Meshaal Barsham, Fahad Shanin, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al-Haydos, Ali Asad, Khoukhi Boualem, Musab Kheder and Salem Al-Hajri were all part of the combined Qatar senior and Olympic squad.
Also joining training on Thursday was Iranian defender Morteza Pouraliganji, who was away on international duty with his national team for the friendlies against Togo and Russia.
Intensifying preparations
After the return of all the players, the coaching staff intensified the preparations on Thursday with an eye on Sunday’s game against Qatar SC, which the team will look to win in order to continue the run of three wins in the first three games of the league season.
Bounedjah rejoins group training
Al-Sadd’s Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah rejoined group training and was a prominent part of the session with his excellent performances after being out of action recently with an injury that he had picked up in the Sheikh Jassim Cup final against Al-Duhail.
Main session on Friday
Al-Sadd are now set to hold the main training session on Friday from 5:45 PM, when the coaching staff will look to select their starting options for the match against Qatar SC.
Ferreira and Musab to attend presser
Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira and right-back Musab Kheder will attend tomorrow’s pre-match press conference, which will be held from 5 PM onwards at the club’s conference hall.
