Internationals return; Al-Sadd resumes preparations for Qatar SC

After a day of rest, the Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 4 PM on Thursday as part of its preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 5 fixture against Qatar SC. The match will kick off at 5:30 PM on Sunday at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The session saw the return of the 10 players who were away with the Qatar Olympic and senior national teams during the recently concluded international break. They were part of the senior team which defeated China and Maldives and the Olympic team which finished third at the WAFF U-23 Championship. The 10 players are: Muhannad Naim, Musab Khodr, Hamza al-Sanhaji, Saleh Bader, Abdulkarim Hassan, Ibrahim Majid, Mohammed Kasola, Ali Asad, Khalfan Ibrahim, Hassan al-Haydos. During the break, Al-Sadd defeated Mesaimeer 3-2 in a friendly.
In the session on Thursday, the coaching staff resumed physical and technical preparation for the match against Qatar SC, which is sure to be a tough one. Al-Sadd will look to keep its winning ways going in the race for the top spot.
Light training for quartet
Four international players (Hassan al-Haydos, Ali Asad, Musab Khodr, Abdulkarim Hassan) had a light training session under the supervision of assistant coach Hesham Zahed. The other players underwent normal group training.
