International players return as Al-Sadd continue preparations
The Al-Sadd first team resumed training on Thursday evening, in preparation for the clash with Umm Salal club team in the Round 8 of the QNB Stars League. The match will be played on Sunday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
- Return of internationals
Four Al-Sadd players (Hasan Al-Heidos, Saad Al-Dosari, Musab Khader and Khoukhi Boualem) who were away on international duty with the Qatar senior national team joined the training session on Thursday. This is in addition to the five Olympic team players (Meshaal Al Shammari, Hussam Kamal, Hassan Ahmed, Fahd Shnein and Yousuf Abdel Razzaq) who have joined training during the past two days.
- Boundejah and Pouraliganji return
The training session on Thursday evening also saw the return of Baghdad Boundejah and Morteza Pouraliganji.
Bounedjah had been with the Algerian national team in their friendly with Central African Republic and the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, while Morteza Pouraliganji took part in Iran’s friendlies against Peru and Venezuela.
- High spirits
The team trained on Thursday amindst an atmosphere of high spirits as the players look to putting up a strong performance in the upcoming game against Umm Salal and stay in contention for top spot.
