Qatari international defender Ibrahim Majid returned training for Al-Sadd on Tuesday evening as his team started preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 21 match against Al-Gharafa, set to be played on March 7.
The return of Majid comes after he recovered from a muscle injury that had kept him out of the squad recently. He had been recuperating under the supervision of the Qatar national team medical staff.
Return of Ibra will strengthen the team
Al-Sadd will undoubtedly be strengthened by the return of the defender who has been one of the most important players in the team as a rock at the back. Al-Sadd are in great need of this boost in light of the upcoming challenges in the league and also in Qatar Cup and HH Emir Cup.
Recovery training for Ibra
Ibrahim Majid spent his first training session back to undertake a recovery training procedure alongside Talal Al-Baloushi, who has also returned from injury lately. This procedure was supervised by team physio Joao and will help the players to reach the required levels of fitness before the rest of the squad for group training.
First team resume training
Meanwhile, the first team players resumed training from 6 PM on Tuesday after a day of rest given to them following their 3-1 win over Al-Arabi in Round 20 of the QSL.
Khalfan & Bounedjah shine
The coaching staff implemented their training method which included a focus on technical skills with the ball and also the execution of certain attacking strategies. The session also saw the participation of Khalfan Ibrahim and Baghdad Bounedjah who shone in training after a period of recovery training recently.
Rest for the reserves
The Al-Sadd reserve team players were given a day off from training on Tuesday after they played the postponed QatarGas League match against Qatar SC on Monday, which finished 3-3.
