Al-Sadd defender Ibrahim (Ibra) Majid has expressed his delight in returning to training with the team ahead of the launch of the new 2015/16 Qatar Stars League.
The defender had undergone a successful ankle surgery at the end of last season and then spent a period of rehabilitation and physical therapy in Spain in order to return with full force to the Wolves.
Speaking in a statement to the Al-Sadd website before the session on Sunday, Ibra said: “I am happy to be back with the team and to be with my teammates again; I hope I can gel quickly in training in order to reach full readiness before the first round of the QSL.”
He added: “I underwent a successful surgery in my ankle after the match against Foolad in the Champions League at the end of last April and thank God, things went well with the rehabilitation and physiotherapy in Spain. Now I have recovered well and achieved the readiness and ability to participate in group exercises.”
Ibra noted that he only needs a little time to reach the full fitness levels needed for participation in the matches and this is what he will seek in the first team training sessions in the coming days.
As for the competition in the coming season, Ibra said that the competition will be tough for all the teams. He added that Al-Sadd boasts many great players and that the team will strive from the beginning of the season to compete for all titles.
