Hassan Al-Haydos: We are determined to always give our best, both in the league and in Asia

Al-Sadd forward Hassan Al-Haydos expressed his delight after his side’s 2-1 win over Al-Wasl in the AFC Champions League Group C game played in Dubai on Monday night.

Speaking after the game, Al-Haydos said: “We are very happy with the win and the three important points we got away from home will give us a big boost, so that we keep giving our best in the upcoming games as well.”

He went on to add: “We fully deserve the win despite not starting the game well. We were not able to force our style on the game and Al-Wasl managed to take the lead. However, we succeeded in coming back into the game during the second half, when we scored two great goals. We were the better side by all measures. We had numerous chances but we were unlucky in not being able to convert them.”

Al-Haydos concluded by saying: “The players are determined to always give their best, be it in the league or in the AFC Champions League. We want to thank our fans for standing by our side and we request them to continue supporting us in all the remaining matches, because the upcoming phase is very crucial.”
