Hassan Al-Haydos: Al-Sadd deserves to win the Emir Cup

Al-Sadd star Hassan Al-Haydos had expressed his happiness after the Emir Cup title triumph on Friday evening. He stressed that his team deserved to win the title.

He said: “I am very happy to win this prestigious title and winning this title means that we end the season in the best manner.”

Al-Haydos added: “Al-Sadd showed an excellent level of play against Al-Rayyan, who also played an intense game but we managed to come out as winners in the end.”

“We dedicate the win to our fans and we would like to thank them for supporting us and attending the game in huge numbers at the Khalifa Stadium. I am very happy to score in the final and help my team to victory. This will now return us to the AFC Champions League once again,” said Al-Haydos, while praising the effort shown by the team throughout the tournament.

Baghdad Bounedjah: Proud to win the title

Al-Sadd’s Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah was over the moon after his team’s triumph in the Emir Cup final against Al-Rayyan. The goal poacher expressed his happiness by saying: “We got this achievement through constant hard work from everyone at the club. This is a huge achievement by any measure.”

Bounedjah went on to praise the fans, saying that they had an impact in helping the team win this very important title.

The Algerian also spoke of his hopes that Al-Sadd would do well in Asia next season.

He added: “It was an amazing feeling to hold aloft this prestigious title; I want to thank everyone who helped in this victory.”
