Hamza Al-Sanhaji returns as Al-Sadd prepare to face Al-Kharaitiyat
The Al-Sadd football first team trained on Wednesday evening and the session witnessed the return of Hamza Al-Sanhaji, who was away on loan at El-Jaish since September.
The team had earlier resumed training on Tuesday after a four-day break which was given following the 1-1 draw with El-Jaish in Round 13 of the QSL. Al-Sadd are currently in 2nd place in the league standings with 31 points.
Al-Sadd stars return
The session on Wednesday saw the return of many Al-Sadd stars including the Algerian duo of Baghdad Bounedjah and Jugurtha Hamroun, in addition to Khalfan Ibrahim, Ibrahim Majid and Hamed Ismail. The coaching staff focused on raising fitness levels to bring the players to the required technical condition.
Intense training to prepare for Al-Kharaitiyat
The physical training was followed by training with the ball, which included both offensive and defensive aspects. Al-Sadd are preparing for the upcoming Round 14 match against Al-Kharaitiyat, which will be played on January 4 at the Al-Khor Stadium.
Absence of 5 Olympic team players
The team will miss the presence of five players who are currently away with the Qatar Olympic football team. The players – Meshaal Al-Shammari, Hussam Kamal, Salem Al-Hajri, Hassan Balank and Khaled Al-Yazidi – will take part in the Olympic team’s camp which will include friendlies against the military team and the Chinese Olympic team.
