Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon visits Al-Sadd

Former Real Madrid CF president Ramon Calderon, who is on a two-day trip to Doha, paid a visit to the Al-Sadd SC premises on Tuesday.

He was received at the club by Al-Sadd general manager Turki Al-Ali, head of football Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali and other management officials.

Calderon was the president of Real Madrid between 2 July 2006 and 16 January 2009.

During his visit to Al-Sadd, Calderon toured and observed the various facilites. He was especialyl impressed by the stadium, which is the only air conditioned one in the Middle East. Calderon also attended the first team training session and met with head coach Jesualdo Ferreira and team captain Xavi Hernandez.

At the end of the visit, Turki Al-Ali presented Calderon with a club jersey before moving on to a photo session.
