First team returns to training without internationals after break
Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 6 PM on Monday evening at the club secondary pitch after the two-day break which followed the 2-1 win over Al-Ahli in Round 2 of the QSL.
The result kept Al-Sadd on top of the league standings with 6 points.
Absence of internationals
The session on Monday witnessed the participation of all the available players except the internationals who are away on national duty for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Saad Al-Dosari, Ibrahim Majid, Abdelkarim Hassan, Pedro, Mohammed Kasola, Ali Asad and Hassan Al-Haydos are at the Qatar camp while Iranian defender Morteza Pouraliganji has joined his national team.
Khalfan and Al-Ansari return
Midfielder Khalfan Ibrahim participated in training after recovering completely from his ankle injury which had ruled him out of the match against Al-Ahli. Abdulaziz Al-Ansari also missed the match but has now returned to training after recovering from his bout of sickness.
Ferreira focuses on the physical aspect
The coaching staff focused on implementing the physical training module, seeking to maintain the fitness of the players and keep them in good shape, ahead of their next game on October 16th, against Lekhwiya in the Round 3 of the Qatar Stars League.
