First team resumes training to prepare for Al-Wakrah

​The Al-Sadd first team resumed training at 5:30 PM on Saturday evening after a day of rest given to the players following the defeat to Lekhwiya in the Sheikh Jassim Cup final on Thursday.

The team is now preparing for the upcoming Qatar Stars League game against Al-Wakrah which will be played on Thursday, the 28th of January at the Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium in Al-Wakrah.

The training session on Saturday saw the participation of all the available players of the team and the coaching staff ensured that there was a focus on the physical aspects for the substitutes. Meanwhile, the first XI underwent light training supervised by the fitness coach.

Going into the Al-Wakrah game, Al-Sadd are currently in fourth place in the league standings with 28 points.
