First team resumes training to prepare for Al-Sailiya

Al-Sadd SC football first team resumed its training at 6 PM on Monday after the end of a three day period of rest granted to the players during the international break. The team is now preparing for the upcoming QSL Round 24 game against Al-Sailiya, which will be played on Saturday, April 2nd at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium. Al-Sadd are currently sitting in third place in the league standings with 42 points.
The session on Monday saw the participation of all the available players of the team, while the Qatar national team players were absent due to their international commitments. Five Al-Sadd players – Saad Al-Dosari, Abdelkarim Hassan, Pedro Miguel, Mohammed Kasola and Musab Khodr – are currently with the national team.
The coaching staff, led by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira, used the training session on Monday to raise the fitness levels of the players following the return of the players from the period of rest. There was also a focus on technical drills with the ball.
Talal Al-Baloushi impresses in training
Al-Sadd midfielder Talal Al-Baloushi made a good impression during training on Modnay, announcing his return to fitness after recovering fully from a muscle injury which had kept him out of action for 6 weeks.
Ali Asad and Hassan Al-Haydos to join training on Tuesday
The Qatari international duo of Ali Asad and Hassan Al-Haydos will return to training with the Al-Sadd team on Tuesday after they were both ruled out of the match against China. This was following the second yellows they received while playing against Hong Kong.
