Al-Sadd football first team resumed training on Saturday after receiving a day off as rest on Friday following the defeat to Al-Wakrah in Round 16 of the Qatar Stars League.
The Wolves will now prepare for the upcoming Round 17 match against Al-Ahli, which will be held on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The coaching staff used the session to implement the training regimen for the players who played in the game against Al-Wakrah. The other players participated in physical training and skill drills with the ball. New signing Morteza Pouraliganji made his presence felt and trained hard during the session. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Majid continued to recuperate under the supervision of the medical team after missing the last match due to a muscle injury.
Rest for Khalfan
Al-Sadd star Khalfan Ibrahim was given a day off from training on Saturday after injuring his eye during warmup before the Al-Wakrah match, which meant that he missed the match. The Al-Sadd medical team examined his injury before taking him to Hamad Hospital for further treatment.
Olympic players get 4 days of rest
The four Al-Sadd players who were part of the Qatar Olympic team (Muhannad Naim, Musab Khodr, Abdulkarim Hassan, Ali Asad) were given four days off as rest after the end of the Qatari participation in the AFC U23 Championship.
