Al-Sadd SC football first team resumed its training from 6 PM on Monday after a two-day period of rest given to them following the 1-0 win over Al-Kharaitiyat in the Qatar Stars League.
Tough encounter with Lekhwiya up ahead
The team is preparing for the Round 23 game against Lekhwiya which is set to be held on Sunday, the 23rd of March at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Players undergo physical conditioning, Ali Asad takes part
The coaching staff implemented the physical training programme at the start of the session, with the team facing a tough encounter up ahead against Lekhwiya who are in second place, just two points above the team. Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad took part in the session after his return from an injury which had kept him out of the matches against Al-Gharafa and Al-Kharaitiyat.
Technical drills with the ball
The players later moved on to technical and tactical drills with the ball, varying between offensive and defensive aspects of the game. In addition to that, there was also a focus on the movement of the players and the way of dealing with crosses.
Injured trio continues rehabilitation
Meanwhile, the injured trio of Ayoob Mashhoor, Talal Al-Baloushi and Abdulaziz Al-Khalosi continued their recuperation under the supervision of physio Joao in order to reach full fitness ahead of taking part in group training.
