20 Oct 2015
The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 4 PM on Tuesday after a day of rest given to them following the 2-1 win over Qatar SC in Round 5 of the Qatar Stars League. The win kept the team in second place in the league table, with 13 points coming four wins and a draw.
The team is now looking ahead to its next match, the Round 6 fixture against Al-Khor on Friday, the 23rd of October at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. The training session on Tuesday went well, with the players responding greatly. The coaching staff ensured that there was a balance between technical and physical exercises, especially in light of the congested fixtures in the upcoming period. Head coach Hussein Amouta focussed on training with the ball in small zones, in addition to quick movement with continuous pressure on the opponent.
