First team holds main training session to prepare for Al-Gharafa

The football first team of Al-Sadd held its main training session from 5:30 PM on Wednesday to prepare for the upcoming Qatar Stars League match against Al-Gharafa. The Round 8 fixture will kick off at 6:30 PM on Friday at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium.
Al-Sadd go into the match sitting in third place in the league table with 15 points from 7 matches, drawing their most recent match 2-2 with Al-Arabi. As for Al-Gharafa, they are in 7th place with 11 points and were held to a goalless draw by Umm Salal in their last game.
The session on Wednesday saw the coaching staff focus on selecting the first team members for the match in light of the absence of 6 players who are away with the Olympic national team (Muhannad Naim, Abdulkarim Hassan, Ali Asad, Saleh Bader, Musab Khodr, Hamza al-Sanhaji). They also tried to prepare the players for the upcoming match which will be a big test for the Wolves who have lost points in the last two rounds. The players were spirited and participated well in the session and showed the desire to reach their best levels of preparedness ahead of the match.
Al-Sadd first team goalkeeper Saad al-Sheeb will continue to be absent from the team for the fourth consecutive match after an injury sustained during the match against AL-Ahli in Round 4.
