​Without getting a day of rest, the football first team at Al-Sadd continued to train on Monday evening from 5 PM onwards at the secondary pitch of the club, as part of preparations for the match against Umm Salal in Round 2 of the Qatar Stars League. The match will be played on Thursday at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.

Al-Sadd kicked off their season with a 4-0 victory over Mesaimeer in their Round 1 match which was played at the Grand Hamad Stadium on Sunday.

The coaching staff used the Monday evening session to ensure the players recovered well from fatigue following their efforts in their first match. The team will now have their main training session starting a 6:15 PM on Tuesday at the secondary pitch.
