Al-Sadd SC football first team head coach Jesualdo Ferreira said that all the teams who play against Al-Sadd are spirited and desperately want to win against a big team like it. He also said that it is imperative to win every match but unfortunately it has not happened in some of the recent matches.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Qatar SC, Ferreira said: “In the last five matches, we played well but luck was not on our side and we also made simple errors which led to the defeat. The team has to give its best and work hard to return to winning ways starting from the upcoming game against Qatar.”
The Portuguese tactician added: “I speak in the language of titles and I am a coach known for winning titles. It is a must for me to work to win titles and we know that winning titles happens for big teams like Al-Sadd. How can I not say that we do not win titles when I am the coach of the most successful team in Qatar?” He went on to say that the league is over and that there are two cups the team will participate in and that “we will strive to win the titles and what matters to me in that regard is the performance of the players.”
He also went on to add: “My job is to focus on working with the young players and Al-Sadd has a number of young talented players. I have used the youth in the last matches; they played excellently. I do not look at the names in the team or their ages or nationalities. I just look at the player who performs well.”
The Al-Sadd coach concluded by saying: “Qatar signed with some good players and I think they are some of the best players. The match will be difficult for us and we will need to work hard to win.”
