Ferreira: We need to be careful against Al-Khor

Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira has stressed on the need to be careful when his side face Al-Khor in a postponed Round 5 game from the QNB Stars League.

Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s game, Ferreira said: “We have four games remaining before the league break and we want to end the year with good results on our way to the title”.

“Al-Sadd have played the most number of games this season, playing at home and in Asia and now we are going to play a game every three days before the break.”

The coach added: “The win over Al-Arabi was a huge boost for us as we prepare for facing Al-Khor. We need to defeat Al-Khor to continue giving our best. I am sure that the players will work to achieve that; Al-Sadd’s aim is to win the league.”

Ferreira also pointed out that while Al-Khor may be in the lower end of the table, Al-Sadd will be careful when they play them. “Al-Khor have excellent players and they need a win to keep away from the danger zone,” he said.

As for Al-Duhail’s struggles in their game against Al-Khor, Ferreira said: “Every match is different. We saw Al-Khor’s game against Al-Duhail and we know that they need a draw against Al-Sadd but we are capable of getting the full points.”

Finally, the coach added: “I always depend on the player who is ready, especially young ones. Everyone saw Al-Sadd’s young players in the recent games, how they used their opportunities. Our goal is to always keep on depending on them.”
