Ferreira: We have to be very careful against Qatar SC

Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira is looking ahead to a tough game when his side play Qatar SC in Round 7 of the QNB Stars League on Thursday.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “Our preparations for the game against Qatar SC have been done in a short period after the previous game against Al-Rayyan. We are working to prepare our players in the best way so that they can give their best against Qatar SC.”

He added: “I think it will be a tough match. Everyone saw how Qatar SC performed against Duhail, taking a two-goal lead before losing out in the end, and so we need to be very careful against them.”

“I don’t want any surprises in tomorrow’s game. Qatar SC are a strong side. They can lose some games easily but can be really strong on their day.”

Further, Ferreira said: “We have an important game coming up in the AFC Champions League after this, so we need to win this game to get a mental boost.”

Asked about playing in a stadium without cooling facilities, Ferreira responded: “Tomorrow, we play our first game in a stadium without cooling and I hope our players will get used to it quickly. It will definitely have an effect on the players.”
